Want more cargo room and greater versatility? The 2012 Toyota Matrix crossover utility vehicle could be just the ticket. Built in the same plant in Cambridge, Ontario, Matrix shares with the Corolla its platform and most of its powertrain and chassis components, including engines and transmissions.
But it features its own distinctively styled body in a five-door configuration with a lift-up rear hatch that enhances utility and flexibility. Matrix rides on bigger wheels and tires and includes 4-wheel disc brakes standard on all models and it's also available with all-wheel-drive (AWD).
